I remember the days when buying a game at your local gaming outlet was a simple transaction. Search for game, grab game, give to cashier, tender cash, take home your newest passion (hopefully). Nowadays with gaming club cards, giving out zip codes, buying insurance, trade-ins, used discs, package deals, “ultimate” additions that cost a small fortune, I’m left dazed and confused. We almost lost it all with registering discs, outrageous DRM and all that craziness that the next gen (almost) ushered in. I say although it’s its own unique brand of crazy, long live the brick and mortar store!
